LOCATION
The fashionable seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi lies on the Ligurian Sea at the northern end of the Tuscan coast. Soft wide sands and shallow seas make it particularly suitable for families. The closest airport is Pisa about 45 minutes away by road. Alternatively Florence airport is just over 1 hour away and Genoa around 1 hour 45 minutes.

AMBIENCE, ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICES
The charmingly grand Hotel Augustus dates back to the 50s, when it was the former beach villa of the Pesenti family, one of the wealthiest families in Italy. Now standing right opposite the Augustus Lido, a facility which is shared by both the Augustus and her two sister properties, guests access the private beach by means of an underground passage from the Lido whilst the seaside town of Forte dei Marmi is a pleasant stroll along the seafront promenade. The 105 rooms are all traditionally furnished with TV, telephone, ensuite bathroom and private balcony.
