We are pleased to offer our clients specially negotiated rates with two of the world’s
most recognised names in car rental:- Alamo and Hertz. Standard vehicles are 2-door
and 4-door.
Please remember that car boot sizes, particularly in the USA are generally smaller
than in the UK. If you are taking more than two suitcases, you should consider upgrading
your vehicle.
RENTAL TERMS
Cars are reserved by category only. Rental Companies reserve the right to substitute
similar or larger cars at no extra charge. Your vehicle will have a full tank of
fuel on collection and you should therefore plan to return your car re-filled to
avoid any re-filling charge that may be levied by the Company. Rental rates include
unlimited mileage, Full Liability Insurance, Collision Damage Waiver and all taxes
and airport fees. Rates do NOT include one-way rental fees, child seat charges,
surcharge for drivers under 25, additional driver charges, Airport Shuttle Bus fees
or Personal Accident Insurance (PAI).
CUSTOMER DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS:
Customers are required to leave a deposit of EU90/$100 per week. Deposits are payable
by MAJOR CREDIT CARD ONLY (Visa, Access, Amex or Diners Card).
AGE REQUIREMENT:
The minimum age requirement on all rentals is 21 years of age. Drivers aged 21-24
years inclusive will be surcharged from EU10/$15 per day. Further charges from EU20/$35.00
per driver are payable for any additional drivers, regardless of age. ALL named
drivers must have held a full, valid and clean driver’s licence for at least 24
months, with at least one year’s unexpired validity. An International Driver’s Licence
is NOT acceptable.
RENTAL CHARGES:
All rentals are based on the 24 hour clock so, if for example the vehicle is collected
at 1800 hours on 01 July for a two week duration, it must be returned to the rental
location no later than 1800 hours on 15 July. Late returns will be charged at the
Rental Company’s own local tariff rates.
UNUSED CAR HIRE:
We are unable to offer partial refunds for a car hire rental which has not been
used in its entirety.
CHILD & INFANT SEATS:
Safety approved child seats for children under 6 years of age are mandatory in many
countries and may be requested at the time of booking. A EU35/$45 per week charge
is normally levied, this to be paid locally and a refundable deposit may sometimes
be required. Please request child and infant seats on Booking Form.
FUEL:
Generally vehicles are rented with a full tank of petrol and should be filled up
before returning. A charge will be levied by the Rental Company if the tank has
not been re-filled.
ROOF RACKS:
We will be happy to request roof racks on your behalf but must draw your attention
to the fact that we are unable to GUARANTEE the provision of this item on your arrival.
AND FINALLY . . .
All car rentals are subject to the legal terms, conditions and pricing procedures
of both Alamo and Hertz in effect at the time of booking.
